Loud fan noise observed on the server

  1. Log in to the iDRAC web interface.
  2. Navigate to Overview > Hardware > Fans > Setup or Configuration > System Settings > Hardware Settings > Cooling Configuration.
  3. In the Thermal Profile or Thermal Profile Optimization setting, choose from options "Minimum Power".
  4. Click Apply to save the changes. A system reboot may be recommended to fully apply the new settings.
