No volume is eligible for shadow copies Error

  1. Open the Registry (regedit), and browse to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71a27cdd-812a-11d0-bec7-08002be2092f} 

  1. Export this key to maintain a backup. 
  2. Delete the UpperFilters value in the right-pane (right-click > Delete).
  3. Create a New > Multi-String Value named UpperFilters.
  4. Modify this UpperFilters value to add the Value Data: volsnap

 

  1. Reboot the server.
